On Saturday 13th of November took place the 2nd beach and sea cleaning in the lovely Graciosa island.
Lanzarote Active Club, family & friends and dogs :) have also participated and helped to clean part of the busiest coastal areas of this beautiful island, where we often walk with our clients. We set off in the morning with all our gear-T-shirts, gloves and big plastic bags from the port Caleta de Sebo heading towards the Playa Francesa picking up all sorts of rubbish and stuff on the way... Our "cleaning squad" joined also other environment and Graciosa-loving people, Luna and Francesco.Apart from the cleaning of beaches and camping area, there were participating also various diving schools and centers from Lanzarote and Graciosa and were cleaning the sea bottom.
The whole event did not have much publicity, however made all the participants and the local people more aware of the "environmental issues". There were local kids participating in the T-shirt designing competition and cleaning as well.
After the cleaning we all went for delicious and locally prepared food and refreshments and concluded our day by relaxing on the CLEAN beach :) almost until the sunset. All in all we spent another unforgettable day in Graciosa!
